An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.
She was staring at the clouds as a light wind danced around causing her butterflies to twirl and pirouette around her. They paired up and began to dance, a very familiar one that made her heart skip to their beat. Why couldn’t she let go?
She cast her eyes back to the beautiful blue sky that was dotted with white clouds. They took familiar shapes which brought tears to her eyes and made her smile as the same time. Hearts, bears, fairy wings, and a star. She reached her hand up towards the clouds and tried to wipe them out of the sky. It was too much for her to take.
Her attempts to clear the sky were futile so she curled up on her side. A familiar friend floated down and landed next to the iris in front of her. The monarch seemed to bend down as to say, “how do you do?” and this made her eyes light up.
“I missed you dear friend”, she whispered.
The monarch fluttered her wings as to say ,”I know”.
She brought her finger in front of the butterfly and she climbed on. She laid back down on her back and observed the beautiful colors on the wings. She noticed some little nicks and tears as well and knew she had caused her sweet friend to take many journeys to him. At first to whisper her love from her heart to his. Then to go look after him…..heal him like she couldn’t.
“Oh my friend, I asked you not to come back. I begged you to stay with him and make him happy. Why did you come back?”
The Monarch just rested. Did not whisper back to her heart any news.
She sighed and just let the silence take over her. Her heart was not beating the same anymore because it was broken. Before she could allow herself to fall into a dark, familiar moment the breeze picked up more. Her dress began to move and lift so she sat up to see what was going on.
She glanced around and noticed nothing but there was still a different feeling in the air. She wasn’t sure if it was good or bad. She lifted her hand to allow the Monarch to fly and maybe search out what was going on. Her friends deep orange and black colors swirled around her but still did not seem to find which way to go.
She stood up and began to walk. She wasn’t sure where she was going or what is out there….but she slowly walked.
It was then she felt the red thread from her heart pull once more. It had been weeks since she felt it and still not sure what it all meant. Placing her hand to her chest she wanted to see if her heart went back to the familiar beat of 1, 2,3 and 1,2,3 but she didn’t notice a change.
She was sure her read thread was stretched, tangled and a huge mess. Or maybe….it was really severed. She never believed that was possible but if deceit is involved….one never knows.
So she walks…….just to keep moving.
Day by day……hour by hour…..minute by minute…..she kept going………
